  1. Hi Laurence,
Personally, I thought my orbital partner and I are pretty ambitious in our project idea that we are going to make this automated trading tool and we really do not know whether it is going to feasible, but after I talked to you on Monday during the mentorship talk at orbital liftoff, I felt more confident and really enlightened. As you mentioned, if we start with some simple algorithm, it should be a doable object. There will definitely be some concerns regarding with dealing with people's money as you mentioned that day and we will need to take note of that and include relevant features once we get the basic prototype done. As you have the relevant expertise and knowledge in guiding us, I think you will make a great mentor for us in offering directions. Two of us are really passionate about learning from this project and in fact, we would hope to continue to work on the idea and further improve it in the next few years before graduation. Hence, we really hope you can be our mentor for this orbital project. Hope you can kindly consider us. Thank you so much in advance.

    Thank you so much.
    Yours sincerely
    Xueqi

Hi Laurence,
As the poster and video shows, we are trying to develop a mobile application to dynamically promote canteen/stall/dishes and provide greater interaction between customers and stall owners.
Therefore, we hope to get some guidance to implement our functions, especially, data collection and data analysis.
Thank you very much!

Anything you'd like the mentor to know:
Hi Laurence,

I'm not sure if you recall our group when we spoke but our idea concerned developing an automated tool for sorting emails and parsing useful information from them. We thought your advice with the approach we could take using an outlook plugin as well as starting with Bayes theorem for our sorting algorithm was really helpful and were hoping that you might be willing to be our mentor.

Do let us know if you'd like more details about our project and we hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!

Anything you'd like the mentor to know: Hi Laurence, as shown in the video above and discussed during the matching session, our team is going to develop a food hitch system on a web platform. Our first prototype will be based on a trust-based system. If time permits, we hope to advance our system such that clients will be able to settle their payments on the platform. Therefore, we hope to get guidance and pieces of advice from you regarding the development. The technologies that we would be using are HTML, CSS, Javascript, React and Github.

Anything you'd like the mentor to know:
Dear Laurence,

Our group is called Team Macchiato. Our idea is called Giftwrap, it is a wishlist app that aims to eliminate the uncertainty that comes with buying gifts during special occasions. We wanted to implement this by having an app extension that allows users to add items to their wishlist from any app with a share sheet. Their friends are also able to see the wishlist and know what they want for a gift on the accompanying native app. We wanted to tie this app and app extension combo to Facebook to leverage on its large user base. This is the core functionality for the app and subsequently if we can do more we were thinking of implementing features like a calendar view and gift idea recorder. We have actually consulted you on this idea and have further developed the idea to its current state as mentioned. We plan on implementing such an idea using React Native to create a native app as well as the app extension.

We are both new to software development and would like to draw on your expertise to further improve our app's idea as well as execution as we embark on this journey. Thank you!

Looking forward to your reply,
Arthur and Si Ning

5) Hello! My partner and I changed our idea as we wanted to include an AR feature. So we had to retake our Liftoff video. As of right now, we're thinking of either using React, Unity or Vulforia. We're still in the early stages of researching what would be the best way of using implementing our AR features and our search functions. Hope we can receive your guidance on our project. Thank you!

I'm good for mentoring the following posters' teams

Xueqi
Raivat
Keith Teo
Yong Cheng
Shawn Lim

Unfortunately, there's only so much bandwidth I have, and hence, only so many teams I can take on to ensure I give you the attention you deserve.

I'm also currently overseas, and will join slack /start responding next week.
