Dear Mr Winston Lim @"Winston Lim" ,
NutriNexus is a health wellness application inspired by Strava and Forest, where users get to adopt healthier lifestyles through a gamified points system. Points are awarded from walking more and making healthier food choices, which they can then use to customise their avatars and gardens. Beyond personal goals, we strive to foster an encouraging community, where users can interact with each other’s avatars and visit each other’s garden.

Why choose us?
We are highly motivated individuals who want to do our best in making our application successful. Despite us not having much previous experience, we are eager to learn and willing to invest our time in this meaningful project and we believe your mentorship could be pivotal in helping us achieve that goal.
We would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from you and refine our application under your mentorship. Hope you can consider our request. Thank you for your time and we look forward to the possibility of working together.

Hi Winston,
We are Kai Qing and Ee Syuen from team HandyGo. After reading about your experience in backend systems, infrastructure, and trust/safety engineering, we felt that your technical background would be a great fit for our project, especially as we navigate early design decisions and long-term architecture planning.
HandyGo is an AI-powered platform designed to connect users with trusted home service providers (e.g. plumbing, cleaning, electrical work). We’re building features such as dynamic pricing estimation, AI-driven provider matching, real-time booking status updates, and a dual-sided dashboard experience for both users and service providers. We also plan to implement key backend systems such as booking management, payment tracking, and scheduling conflict detection , all areas where your experience at Databricks, TikTok, and Binance would be extremely relevant. We’re especially interested in learning how to better structure our backend and data flows as the system scales, and how to build for both functionality and reliability.
We’d love the opportunity to work with you through short check-ins and technical discussions. Your guidance would mean a lot as we grow not just the app, but also as student developers learning to build production-level systems.

Dear Mr Winston Lim @"Winston Lim"

ScribeMaster is a webapp that aims to address long-standing issues and difficulties experienced by Game Masters(GMs) and players of TableTop Role Playing Games(TTRPGS), such as Dungeons & Dragons.

From our survey, many GMs face difficulties managing large amounts of scattered information, limited customisability from online tools and difficulties in communication slowing down the game. This makes it difficult for both the GM and players to enjoy and immerse themselves playing.

Our goal with ScribeMaster is to simplify the workflow and information management faced by GMs, centralizing campaign and information management, simplifying combat tracking, enhancing party communication and providing real-time stat monitoring. Our application targets both beginner and experienced GMs who often struggle with fragmented tools, paywalls, and steep learning curves found in existing platforms like VTT Foundry or D&D Beyond.

This would greatly reduce the work needed for setting up and running campaigns for GMs, and players would be able to more easily access custom resources setup by their GM.
Why choose us?
We would love to learn from you, given your extensive experience in both frontend and backend development, as our project will require extensive data management for the backend, and a smooth and intuitive frontend. Our goal is to provide a smooth and efficient experience for our users, and we believe that your experience and guidance would help us greatly.
If you are available to mentor us, we would be incredibly grateful for your support. We are also happy to explain our proposal further or walk you through our prototype and development plan at your convenience.

Hi Winston!

We are Jasper Ang and Jeric Tan from Team Lyst, and we’d love to work with you to bring our relationship-management app, Lyst, to life.

We want Lyst to be an AI-powered relationship management app, that acts as a centralised platform for all your relationship needs, and automatically plans fully fleshed out dates, including date routes and the like, making intimacy and spontaneity convenient. We created this knowing that managing and planning for relationships can be stressful, particularly for busy university students balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and personal life.

From your portfolio, it is clear to us that you are someone we can learn greatly from, given your experience in various roles at Tiktok and even in other companies! We believe that your experience reflects your drive and passion for software engineering, and that is something that aligns with what we want to achieve for ourselves and our app ideas, and we could most definitely benefit from having a highly experienced mentor like yourself to help give technical direction.

We look forward to the chance to collaborate and learn from your experience!

Thank you for considering our request. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Dear Winston,
@"Winston Lim"

We are Xingchen and Yangjie two incoming Y2 Computer Science students. We’d love to invite you to collaborate with us on our project. ByteBites is an intelligent campus dining assistant application specially designed for NUS students. It integrates real-time queue information, menus, prices, nutritional tags, user reviews, and operating hours from various campus canteens, helping students make quick, convenient, and healthy dining decisions. At the same time, food stall operators can improve their offerings based on user feedback, enhancing the overall dining experience.

In the next phase of development, we plan to introduce real-time data processing and personalized user recommendations, both of which involve key challenges in data engineering and backend system reliability. These areas closely align with your expertise in frontend and backend development, as well as data engineering.

At the same time, we place great importance on building a responsive and user-friendly frontend interface, and we’re eager to gain your insights in areas like data flow design and system scalability — strengths you’ve demonstrated through your work on web infrastructure and risk detection systems.

We are a motivated, curious, and open-minded team, always ready to learn and embrace technical direction. It would be an honor to receive your mentorship, and we believe your guidance would significantly deepen the technical sophistication and practical impact of our project.
