Dear Mr Venkatraman Ramamoorthy @"Venkatraman Ramamoorthy",
CodeOnTheGo is a mobile-first app that helps users practice coding by focusing on problem-solving processes rather than writing full code solutions. It guides users through structured questions, allowing them to outline their thought processes step-by-step. AI is employed to evaluate user responses, providing targeted hints and solution analysis to reinforce logical thinking. Gamified features like streaks, quizzes, and 1v1 duels make learning interactive and engaging. By simplifying coding challenges into approachable tasks, CodeOnTheGo makes coding practice accessible anytime, anywhere.
Why choose us?
At CodeOnTheGo, we’re driven by a genuine passion to make coding practice accessible and impactful through AI-driven, step-by-step guidance. Your experience at Meta in building AI-powered tools and optimizing developer workflows aligns perfectly with our goal of delivering targeted feedback and insightful hints to users. With your expertise in TensorFlow and PyTorch, you could help us refine our AI evaluation system, making it more impactful for learners. Your background in React and mobile development also complements our mobile-first approach, where creating an engaging, seamless user experience is a top priority. We would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from you and refine our application under your mentorship. Declan Sin

Hi Venkatraman

We’re Declan and Nickson — two passionate NUS undergrads building LegacyLink, a mentorship application.

Nickson is an incoming Y2 Computer Science student who previously developed SwapSphere, a prototype for an NUS online marketplace.
Declan is a Y1 Information Systems student, just wrapped up an internship at Accenture as a Techno-Functional Analyst (AWS & SQL), and has co-founded two ventures:
• Koyoyu Studio – a streetwear distribution company
• A brokerage firm focused on loans, hotels, and small-scale M&A

The idea is simple: connect students to alumni mentors (like yourself!) using smart matching, real-time chat, and integrated scheduling. It’s like dating apps but instead for personal growth — but without the awkward bios and ghosting. We built LegacyLink because we personally struggled to find accessible, relevant mentorship at NUS. Between the maze of Telegram channels, emails, and scattered resources, there wasn’t a simple, intentional space to connect with alumni who actually want to give back.

We’re both super committed to building something meaningful, and we’d love to learn from your experience — especially as someone who’s already volunteered to mentor. Would love if you could take a look at our poster in the google drive folder to check out our proposed tech stack and more details!

Looking forward to chatting — and maybe even onboarding you as our first in-app mentor !

Cheers,

Hi Mr. Venkataraman, @"Venkatraman Ramamoorthy"

We are Kai Qing and Ee Syuen from team HandyGo. We came across your profile and were very inspired by your deep expertise in full-stack development, AI/ML systems, and real-world problem solving, especially in the areas of fine-tuning models, real-time systems, and building tools for internal platforms. We would be truly grateful for the opportunity to work with you with on the development of our app, HandyGo.
HandyGo is an AI-powered mobile platform designed to streamline the booking and management of blue-collar and home services such as plumbing, cleaning, and electrical repair. Our motivation stems from the real-world challenges many individuals face, unreliable providers, lack of pricing transparency, and difficulty accessing services during urgent situations. At the same time, many skilled workers lack platforms to showcase their services and manage bookings efficiently.
To address these issues, HandyGo serves as a dual-sided application that benefits both users and service providers. It features dynamic pricing estimation, instant AI-based service matching, secure digital payments, and real-time service tracking. Our goal is to enhance convenience, transparency, and trust in the home services industry, especially for communities underserved by traditional platforms.
Given your experience at Meta with React, React Native, Flutter, PostgreSQL, and LLM-powered tooling, as well as your work on RAG pipelines and enterprise-scale applications, we believe your guidance could help us make better architectural decisions and explore smarter ways to apply AI to matching and prediction tasks in HandyGo.

Thank you for considering our request. We’d love the opportunity to work with you.

Sean Ow Zhan Rong

Hi Mr. Venkatraman!

We’re Jie Yang and Sean — two Year 1 NUS Computer Science students passionate about music and technology, which led us to form Code & Chords. Our project, Guitar Story, is a space-themed, AI-powered guitar learning tool that helps players see music theory in action as they play.

We believe computer science is more than just code — it’s a tool to solve real-world problems. And for us, music isn’t just a hobby — it’s something deeply personal. This project is our way of blending both worlds to create something meaningful, not just for ourselves, but for musicians everywhere.
After struggling with rigid apps and endless YouTube tutorials that offer little real-time feedback, we asked ourselves:

What if learning guitar felt more like a personalised adventure game — complete with missions, live scale overlays, and interactive feedback?

With Guitar Story, users can:
• Detect fretboards in real time using OpenCV + Roboflow
• Overlay dynamic scale patterns and guitar tabs
• Get feedback and tackle progression challenges — one riff at a time

We’re aiming for Artemis level, and we’re looking for a mentor who can help us navigate real-time system design, AI tuning, and user-centred feedback loops. Your expertise in AI/ML would be incredibly valuable in helping us bring this vision to life.

Warm regards,
Code & Chords

Dear Mr Venkatraman @"Venkatraman Ramamoorthy",

Hello! We are Bing Hang and Emilia from Team Locked In. We created of Lockbox, a mobile travel vlogging app that encourages authenticity through time-locked video memories. Instead of instant sharing, users respond to curated travel prompts (“vibe checks”) and unlock their footage (“orbs”) only after the trip, preserving the magic of hindsight and unfiltered moments.

We’re really excited about the potential of integrating AI into our app, and we believe your expertise would be transformative for us. One of our key features is the “vibe check”: personalised prompts that reflect the mood and context of a user’s trip. We want these to feel truly dynamic, by factoring in itinerary data, location, and even travel behaviour. We have some initial ideas – including exploring the OpenAI API or even building our own agentic models – but we’d love your mentorship to shape the technical direction. Your guidance could help us design intelligent systems that boost engagement and make every trip feel uniquely personal to each traveler.

As we move toward Artemis, we’re looking to level up both our backend architecture and app performance. We're currently using Node.js with Supabase, but are now exploring where we might need to go beyond Supabase to build the kind of infrastructure that can scale reliably — especially as we deal with user-generated content, video uploads and secure access control. We know this involves many considerations - from the API design and database structuring to introducing custom job schedulers or external storage/CDNs. Your expertise in mobile development and database management could be instrumental in helping us make decisions that support a production-ready MVP.

We hope you resonate with our vision and are excited by the challenges we’re tackling. We would be more than grateful to learn from your experience as we grow Lockbox into a production-ready app!

Warm Regards,
Team Locked In (Bing Hang and Emilia)

Dear Mr. Venkatraman,

Our team, OweNus, is developing a blockchain-powered P2P lending platform that leverages AI (TensorFlow Lite) for expense prediction and credibility scoring which is an area where your deep expertise in LLM fine-tuning, RAG applications, and full-stack development could be really helpful. Your work on Transactify and GitAI demonstrates exactly the kind of innovative problem-solving we aspire to emulate, especially in enhancing our platform’s financial insights using AI/ML. Given your experience with React Native and backend systems, your guidance could help us optimize cross-platform performance and explore AI-driven features like smart repayment reminders. We’d be grateful for the opportunity to learn from your perspective and discuss how we might align with your mentorship goals. Hope to hear from you soon!

Best regards,
Team OweNus (Sanfo and Chellappan)
