Dear Lee Jia Sheng @"Lee Jia Sheng",
CodeOnTheGo is a mobile-first app that helps users practice coding by focusing on problem-solving processes rather than writing full code solutions. It guides users through structured questions, allowing them to outline their thought processes step-by-step. AI is employed to evaluate user responses, providing targeted hints and solution analysis to reinforce logical thinking. Gamified features like streaks, quizzes, and 1v1 duels make learning interactive and engaging. By simplifying coding challenges into approachable tasks, CodeOnTheGo makes coding practice accessible anytime, anywhere.
Why choose us?
At CodeOnTheGo, we’re driven to create that wow factor — making coding practice more engaging through AI-powered, personalized feedback that feels intuitive and impactful. With your machine learning background, you could help us refine how we evaluate user responses, turning basic hints into smarter, context-aware guidance that truly stands out. We want every interaction to feel memorable and insightful, using AI to elevate the learning experience beyond the typical coding app.

Dear Jia Sheng @“Lee Jia Sheng”,

When2Meet is a mobile application designed to simplify the process of scheduling group meetups. Our app enables users to input their availability and automatically finds optimal time slots for everyone - whether for project discussions, hangouts, or meetings. We enhance the experience with personalised features like group links, role-based invitations and travel mode selection (walk, public transport, car). Our goal is to reduce the friction in finding common times and places, especially for busy university students and working adults.

Why Choose Us?
At When2Meet, we are passionate about solving the universal pain point of scheduling. We deeply value reliability, user experience, and the “wow factor” in everything we ship. That is why we would be thrilled to have your guidance. With your passion for scalable backend systems and experience in distributed systems and React, you are exactly the kind of mentor who can help us elevate our project beyond just “working” to something that stands out. We are eager to hear your technical perspectives and work together to build something that truly matters!

Technical Proof of Concept: https://github.com/binghangc/Lockbox/tree/dev

Dear Jia Sheng @"Lee Jia Sheng"

We’re Bing Hang and Emilia from Team Locked In, creators of Lockbox, a mobile travel vlogging app that offers a different way to remember the raw, unfiltered memories. It encourages authenticity through time-locked video memories. Instead of instant sharing, users respond to curated travel prompts (“vibe checks”) and unlock their footage (“orbs”) only after the trip, preserving the magic of hindsight and unfiltered moments. This delayed reveal conveys we want travel and memories to be lived first, and remembered later. It is an ambitious project, especially to scale and operate reliably, but we believe this would be made possible with your guidance!

Our project demands a robust backend that is scalable and secure. We’re currently using Node.js with Supabase, but for Artemis, we’re also exploring where we might go beyond Supabase to build out more advanced infrastructure ourselves. This includes designing a modular API architecture and structuring our database to scale with potentially millions of orbs. We’re also handling video and image uploads with secure access control, and exploring the use of external storage and CDNs like Cloudflare to optimize performance. Finally, features like timed vault unlocks may require custom authentication flows and background job handling that exceed Supabase’s native capabilities.

If you’ve worked with CDNs like Cloudflare, or tackled similar challenges in system design, your input would be incredibly valuable as we move Lockbox toward a production-level MVP! We're excited by the challenge and would love to learn from your experience architecting a backend that can support Lockbox. We truly believe Lockbox delivers the ambitious "wow factor" you are looking for as a novel idea, and we’d be thrilled to work together to build something that’s not just technically sound, but truly memorable.

Warm Regards,
Team Locked In (Bing Hang and Emilia)

Hi Jia Sheng! @"Lee Jia Sheng"

We’re Divya and Atharva from Team 7512 (Teamigo), and we’d be thrilled to work with you on our project. Teamigo is our answer to the disjointed way communities are formed and run today. Whether someone’s trying to find local clubs and events, or an organiser needs to manage announcements, calendars, merchandise, and members, Teamigo integrates all of it into one platform. It’s built to eliminate the friction from community-building so that more people can find their tribe, and more leaders can grow without burning out.

Your impressive backend engineering experience and strong technical skills in Java, Python, SQL, and distributed systems are exactly what we’re looking for. But more importantly, your love for ambitious ideas and your eye for the wow factor make us confident that you’ll find Teamigo an exciting space to leave your mark. We believe this collaboration can be as fun as it is meaningful.

We’d love to explore this together with you. Below are our details, and you can access all of our material in the Drive folder. We're looking forward to your response!

Dear Mr Lee Jia Sheng ID-8 @"Lee Jia Sheng"

ScribeMaster is a webapp that aims to address long-standing issues and difficulties experienced by Game Masters(GMs) and players of TableTop Role Playing Games(TTRPGS), such as Dungeons & Dragons.

From our survey, many GMs face difficulties managing large amounts of scattered information, limited customisability from online tools and difficulties in communication slowing down the game. This makes it difficult for both the GM and players to enjoy and immerse themselves playing.

Our goal with ScribeMaster is to simplify the workflow and information management faced by GMs, centralizing campaign and information management, simplifying combat tracking, enhancing party communication and providing real-time stat monitoring. Our application targets both beginner and experienced GMs who often struggle with fragmented tools, paywalls, and steep learning curves found in existing platforms like VTT Foundry or D&D Beyond.

This would greatly reduce the work needed for setting up and running campaigns for GMs, and players would be able to more easily access custom resources setup by their GM.

Why choose us?

We would love to learn from you, given your extensive experience in both frontend and backend development, as our project will require extensive data management for the backend, and a smooth and intuitive frontend. Our goal is to provide a smooth and efficient experience for our users, and we believe that your experience and guidance would help us greatly.
If you are available to mentor us, we would be incredibly grateful for your support. We are also happy to explain our proposal further or walk you through our prototype and development plan at your convenience.

Hi Jia Sheng!

We are Jasper Ang and Jeric Tan from Team Lyst, and we’d love to work with you to bring our relationship-management app, Lyst, to life.

We want Lyst to be an AI-powered relationship management app, that acts as a centralised platform for all your relationship needs, and automatically plans fully fleshed out dates, including date routes and the like, making intimacy and spontaneity convenient. We created this knowing that managing and planning for relationships can be stressful, particularly for busy university students balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and personal life.

We think a large part of your portfolio resonates a lot with us! It's super interesting to us that you are focused on the “wow-factor”, something we personally also believe is a very important factor and component for any successful project or business idea, and something we want to really explore and nail down properly too! We’d greatly value your technical advice on architecting our backend, optimising data pipelines, and ensuring our app runs smoothly at scale too, given your expertise and experience at Binance!

We look forward to the chance to collaborate and learn from your experience!

Thank you for considering our request. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Dear Jiasheng @"Lee Jia Sheng",

We are excited to introduce you to Xin Hao Fan (新好饭, named after 拼好饭 in China), a platform to match users with similar Grabfood group orders. This enables everyone in the group to save on delivery fees, get discounts, and most importantly: order food they actually want, when they want it.

Our team’s experience spans both technical and business fields. Kexi is a highly committed programmer, who not only scores well consistently in programming modules, but is also doing data science projects in her free time.Zizhong has participated in hackathons in NUS, such as the Singlife Datathon, where he utilised Python, XGBoost and R to match insurance agents with clients. Before college, co-founded Stick’em, a startup providing robotics kits programmed with Arduino to primary schools. He is passionate about developing software that provides value to its users.

We are highly interested in software development, learning new things, and most importantly, eating good food! This will not only be a summer pet project for us; we hope to launch a fully functional service starting with NUS, so everyone can get to enjoy good food at cheaper prices.

Message: Hey Mr Lee @"Lee Jia Sheng" ,

We're developing a multiplayer rogue-lite game that leverages an Entity Component System (ECS) architecture on the backend and features agentic behavior for NPCs. Instead of using prefab multiplayer solutions, we're building our own backend from the ground up. This approach allows us to deepen our understanding of scalable architecture, system design, and the complexities of real-time communication. We're leveraging Golang's concurrency model on our backend to run the entity component system concurrently across multiple worlds.

Given your expertise and interest in reliable and scalable architecture, we believe your mentorship would be incredibly valuable as we continue to build and refine our project, especially with regards to fault tolerance and game world lifecycle management.
