Hi,
Our game is a 2D top-down RPG inspired by the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series. Players will be able to play as a capybara to explore dungeons, fight monsters, cook items found in dungeons to make food, make friends, own property (taverns), buy and sell items and play side quests, while there is a main story mode to explore the entire map of the land. More in depth details about the game can be found inside our project proposal.
In our poster and video, you can see screengrabs of our gameplay and you can see that it is a fun and exciting game we plan to develop. With your mentorship, we can take this game project to greater heights, than what we can do on our own. Hope to hear from you soon.
Trying our best,
The Happy Capys Team

Why Wild Card is a Game with Immense Potential:
Intriguing Narrative and Rich Lore:
In Wild Card, we offer players the chance to step into the shoes of the enigmatic "Joker," navigating a dystopian city plagued by greed and strange creatures. Our narrative is deeply woven into the gameplay, with players uncovering dark secrets and battling the kingpin menace tied to a powerful artifact in the city's grand casino. This layered story provides players with a compelling reason to progress, making each moment in the game more meaningful and immersive.
Unique and Diverse Playstyles:
Inspired by the four suits of a deck of cards, Wild Card offers distinct transformations for the Joker, each with its own unique abilities and gameplay mechanics:
Hearts: Focus on healing, health, and survival, with a mix of buffs and debuffs.
Diamonds: Emphasize shielding and AOE damage, providing a more defensive and strategic approach.
Clubs: Excel in ranged DPS, requiring skill and precision to master.
Spades: Offer a balanced melee combat experience with knockback mechanics.
Engaging and Dynamic Gameplay:
Our game combines the best elements of top-down shooters, time survival, and bullet-hell genres. Players will face waves of enemies inspired by casino elements like gambling chips and card suits, each with unique behaviors and challenges. The gameplay evolves with new enemy types, mini-bosses, and unique level bosses, keeping the experience fresh and exciting.
Stunning Pixel Art Aesthetics:
Wild Card’s vibrant pixel art style brings our dystopian casino world to life. Each character, enemy, and environment is meticulously crafted, providing a visually captivating experience that enhances the game's immersive quality.
Long-Term Player Engagement:
With rogue-lite elements, each playthrough of Wild Card is unique, offering endless replayability. Hi,
As shown in our trailer, we are aiming to make a roguelike platformer game. We saw in your portfolio that you are a very experienced software engineer, with both front and back end experience.
Our main features includes parkour platformer levels, combat with dashes and without weapons, and unique upgrades to include different playstyles throughout the game, as well as possibly procedurally generated levels, New game + and user mods support.
Although our proof of concept still has a lot of mechanics that has not yet been implemented, we hope it displays our ideas and visions and that it may appeal to you as an interesting project that perhaps you could guide us in.
Thanks for your consideration!
