Personalized Message

Good day Mr Lee! We are team NUSMaps – an action-driven and dedicated team with a profound passion towards delivering innovative and practical solutions which impact the NUS student population positively.

  • In the development phase, a prominent aspect of our project involves machine learning, where we process raster images and transform them into 3D models. Hence, we will greatly appreciate your expert guidance on this domain.
  • Furthermore, we believe that your experience with full stack development will serve as highly valuable guidance. Specifically, our project needs to be supported by a database that can handle high-frequency queries on both static and dynamically populated data and we need to integrate this with the front end smoothly. Thus, we believe that your inputs will be imperative to our journey of producing a scalable and stable system.
  • Moreover, beyond implementing the program, we believe in the importance of testing and debugging. In particular, your background in addressing high severity vulnerabilities will help us uncover potential blind spots in our system design. We will greatly value your inputs to make the system stable and thus reliable.

Thank you for reviewing our message with much thought and detail, and we certainly look forward to your favourable reply!

Hi Matthew!
We are a team working on a mobile application which aims to not only simulate colour blindness for users but also allow them to “play” with colours through our unique set of features.
Your self introduction resonated with us as our project is heavily reliant on image processing and we were looking to incorporate computer vision to create the main features of our project (colour blindness simulating filters, colour detection etc.). We would like you to be our mentor as our project as we would definitely need strong guidance in the computer vision aspect.
Thank you!
