Hi Mahabir, we are team Dabaogo. We are creating a mobile-centric food delivery service that would create an opportunity for students to not only make money when they go out to have lunch but also to help fellow students / a student get lunch and potentially make new friends. We aim on creating not just a food delivery service but a community where students help one another buy lunch and make friends along the way with a small incentive spurring these acts of kindness. Your experience in mobile app development and backend experience would be instrumental in helping us craft the seamless and most optimized experience for our users and thus, we would be excited and honored to have you on board as our mentor. Additionally, your experience working on NodeJS would be of great use to us as we are planning on using these tools for our application as well. We believe in creating an app that can help the student community and also one that is scalable so that we can expand the reach of our application over time. We hope that you find our project meaningful and exciting as we are keen on working with you to create an app that can change the way students order food on campus.
Hi Naren and Wen Han! How are you guys doing? I hope you all are doing fine. I had a look at your project proposal. In my opinion these are my feedback:
What happens if the person buying food for you accidentally drops the food? Who will be held liable for the loss?
Since you mentioned that you all are very busy and have no time to buy food then I guess other students in the Computer Science cohort will be equally busy. Then who will actually want to go and buy food? At one time how many student's food can you buy?
Now there is contactless delivery by Grab so what will make your app more superior than Grab food.
You all mentioned that you want to scale your app to serve the wider audience then what makes your app better than the rest?
In this humid weather will any student want to volunteer to buy food for others even if they are being paid. Grab charges $3 to $5 delivery charges so like what you mentioned students will rather order food in bulk at the comfort of their campus.
I hope you all can think over my opinion and perhaps think of a project that is more feasible and scalable.
Thank you.
