We are team NUSRoutes and we are interested in building a web, mobile and telegram app for navigation within NUS. More details can be found in our proposal.
As both of us do not have much experience in product design, we are excited to to have a mentor that focuses on user experience. Your expertise in UI/UX is invaluable to help us develop a user-centric product.
Thank you for your consideration and we hope to embark on this journey with your guidance!
Hi Candiie,
We are interested in furthering our skills in full-stack web development through our Orbital project and believe that your expertise in UI/UX would be extremely beneficial in helping us perfect our web application. We are dedicated and passionate about software engineering and are committed to making the best out of this opportunity. We also wish to learn more about UI/UX and have lots of fun throughout this process.
We hope you consider our team and it would be a pleasure for us to have you as our mentor.
We are Team Multiverse and we aim to overhaul the NUS apps by combining the most vital features into 1 single application for a better user experience for the students. We are seeking your mentorship as we feel that this project involves unifying multiple features and might be challenging to manage the user experience. Thus, we believe that your expertise in UI/UX would really be beneficial to this project and ensuring that we can deliver the best product possible.
We hope to have you on board with us on this challenging and exciting project and we hope to hear from you soon!
Hi Candiie!

We are interested in building a web app that will be useful to the students of NUS. We understand that a key success factor of any productivity application would be the UI/UX. Among the both of us, we do not have much experience in UI/UX, hence your mentorship would add a lot of value to our project. We do hope that you would consider mentoring our team and we look forward to working with you!

We are team Floating Balloons and we plan to make a web-app called SPARK, a tool that makes great questions available to anyone.
We believe that questions have the power to create meaningful conversations and hope that SPARK would be a bold call to people to ask questions, stay curious, and make meaningful conversations. We liked your profile, and what stood out was your focus on user experience design. We really want our app to not just be good technically, but also ensure that the user and their experience of using it remains at the forefront. We look forward to working with you!
We are seeking for a mentor to guide us through the development of our mobile application, OrbiTinder. More details of OrbiTinder can be found in our proposal.
In this modern age, many would rather own a smartphone than a computer. This means even more consumers will turn to mobile applications.
UI/UX design have always been a challenge for many developers.
Your expertise in product design will greatly help us in developing a more user-centric product.
As a team, we are very excited to potentially have you as our mentor. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us through Telegram/email.
We are project ReHash, a team of highly motivated Computer Science students looking to build a novel platform: a combination of web app + mobile app for anyone to swap anything anywhere! We are very excited to be embarking on this web and mobile development journey and we hope to master our skills through this project. Beyond the completion of the project, we both also wish to build ReHash as a platform to be easiest to use as possible, having the best UI/UX to our abilities as we strongly believe that this would be vital towards the success of our platform. We would therefore want to explore deeper into these areas throughout our project journey besides the technical aspects!
We both strongly believe that your area of interest as well as area of expertise would be highly valuable and align very well with our project goal. Therefore, we would like to kindly invite you to guide us throughout our project journey this summer. We are looking forward to working with you, learning as much as possible, enjoying the process, and growing together as a team!
Looking forward to learning and working with you this summer!
We are highly motivated students who are dedicated to seeing our Orbital project to completion and making full use of this great opportunity to learn more about software development outside of academic settings. We are interested in exploring software engineering via this opportunity and thus, we are hoping to try and learn new things to ensure that our Orbital journey will be a meaningful one.
We hope that you will consider our team and we look forward to your mentorship and guidance! Thank you!
Hey all thanks for posting your mentorship interests! i'm currently reviewing all your projects, will be reaching out to shortlisted teams sometime tonight after the closing today @ 5pm or tomorrow for a quick chat so please do keep a lookout for an email in your inbox :)
We're team exhaustedUpset, and we're looking to build a cross platform mobile app called moot! moot is an anonymous chat application that is focused on encouraging and incentivising deep meaningful discussions and allowing users to engage with a diverse array of interesting perspectives, opinions and ideas.
In the digital world, we seem to be losing the ability to form real human connections. Reduced attention span lends itself to quick snap judgements instead of long form genuine brain-picking sessions. moot provides an avenue for people to have genuine conversations, where asynchronous and anonymous interactions are possible, without the need to worry about first impressions and presentation. All that matters is the exchange of ideas, sans judgement.
To make this happen, we'll need to quickly level up our skills in UI/UX design, backend and databases; we think that your experiences in software engineering (especially mobile), UI/UX design, and project planning will really help us a great deal. We hope that you're as excited about making this a reality as we are and that you'll be interested in joining us in revitalising the social interaction scene in NUS and beyond :) We look forward to working with you!
It’s a pleasure to meet you. This is regarding the Artemis-level Orbital mentorship. We are Neo Wei Qing and Tan Yan Feng, two Year 1 Computer Science undergraduates. We intend to create a text-based RPG game, set in the fictional world created by Patrick Rothfuss in his famous Kingkiller Chronicle. In this trilogy, Rothfuss left fans on a cliffhanger and never released the final book, even after a decade. Our team hopes to bridge that gap with a novella, to see our own dreams fulfilled.
Our game will have two game-modes, one where the player plays as Kvothe (protagonist) in the main storyline, and another where players can play a Player vs Environment (PvE) game with others. Our characters will also have a skill tree based on the forms of magic that exist in this world, and players can traverse these trees and unlock new abilities.
We intend to make this game easy to get into, by running it off a Telegram bot. If the player wants the full experience, then they can simply install the application for it and access their game progress from there.
We are messaging you as we have read from your profile that you have experience in game development, user experience, and UI/UX design. We hope that you would be able to advise us with respect to these aspects of our game, as neither of us have much experience in these areas. However, we are very willing to learn more and are not afraid of challenges, technical or creative.
We hope this proposal resonates with you, and if there are any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Andrew Wirawan Sutjipto (aws@u.nus.edu, 9146 3116, Telegram Handle: @amabie20)
Andrew and I are both interested in building software that simplifies lives. We believe that human interaction with software is a nuanced endeavour that is enhanced by focusing on back-end code, and not just UX/UI. For Orbital, We want to build an easily workable systems with a strong back-end core.
Andrew has taken this interest into his personal endeavours, through his extensive record in various hackathon participations, school and even landing himself an internship in his first year. He intends to further learn more about backend through setting his learning outcome of orbital to be software testing.
I on the other hand, have decided to pursue this interest by doing various side projects and pursuing a journey of entrepreneurship. At present, I am implementing an end-user interface that communicates with complex infrastructures and tools like the Google Cloud Platform and Google Ads API, with an end goal of marketing these tools to simplify client workflows. Learning more about the Dev Ops Cycle is a primary learning objective for me.
Both Andrew and I don't claim to be savants in the field of coding. We are simply passionate in building efficient tools. This common passion is what allows us to work effectively as a team. We have passion for software, and we're not afraid to show it. And that's what makes us ideal mentees.
Ryan and I are both self-driven individuals with an interest in creating global platforms and making a difference! We strongly believe that your experience in both Software Engineering (Mobile) and UX/UI, as well as your passion for teaching will enable us to develop our idea to achieve its full potential.
We aim to build a world-class platform that connects individuals through exercise, and strongly believe that User Experience has an extremely important role to play in impacting the lives of our users, which is ultimately our vision. We hope that you would be willing to guide us through this journey!
