Our past year in NUS Computer Science has made us excited to embark on this NUS Orbital journey that we believe will be fulfilling for not just us, but for you - the mentor. We are both extremely driven learners and are passionate about dipping our toes DEEP into the world of technology.
We are both interested in learning more about various software development tools. Zechary is more inclined towards back-end web development with an interest in Machine Learning while Rayner is leaning towards front-end web development with an interest in Cloud computing.
Thank you for considering our team and we hope that we can work with you in the future! :D
Good day to you!
We are seeking for a mentor to guide us through the development of our mobile app, OrbiTinder. More details of OrbiTinder can be found in our proposal.
As our app would be utilizing ML, we feel that your background in ml would be very useful for our app's development.
As a team, we are very excited to potentially have you as our mentor. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us through Telegram/email.

Greetings Paul S.R,
Hope you are doing well.
Our team is solving an issue that was imminently personal to us - we found that between our completely online classes and assignments, there was little time to meet people who have the same interests and want to participate in similar activities. This brought us to the idea of Kliq - our app that matches people based on gamified user feedback and profile portfolios to connect people looking for teammates, friendly competitors, or simply, friends.
We found your experience to be especially relevant given your work on front-end and back-end technologies along with your expertise in AI/ML would be very helpful in building the matching system for our web application. As computer science freshmen, we are both fairly new to software development and are hoping to count on your mentorship for the guidance that could steer us towards a productive summer building an application we love (and we hope you will love too).
We would love for you to reach either of us for any queries you may have about us or our project. Hope you will consider mentoring us.
Hello Mr Paul! We are team HEALth Together, consisting of Rama and Ruoyan - computer science students who are passionate about software engineering and love coding! Ruoyan is currently working as a full-stack engineer intern at Eigen Energy, while Rama is working as a machine learning engineer intern at A*STAR. Our project seeks to combine both our interests - we hope to build a mobile application that leverages machine learning.
At the core of it, our application is an efficient pain tracking and management system that would be used by patients and anyone experiencing pain. We hope to leverage on tech for social good and hence we believe that our application would be a beneficial complement for people suffering from illnesses and pain.
Our reason for choosing you as our mentor is the wealth of experience and industry insights that you have in both frontend/backend and AI/ML, which are the main focus areas of our project as well. We believe that your knowledge will be of great help and relevance to us, and together, we would be able to pursue a project that would be of interest to us as well as to you.
We would love if you could take a look at our poster and our video and consider choosing us as your mentees! It will be our honour to be your mentee.
We are trying to implement a Point of Sales system that benefits both the seller and the consumer. We are very inexperienced in this area as this is our first real project but we make up for it with our dedication. We hope that we can learn a lot by challenging ourselves through this project. We hope you can excuse our lack of experience and provide us with your expert guidance.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We hope to be able to embark on our idea with your guidance.
We’re seeking mentorship for StockUP, our mobile app designed to reduce household food wastage.
StockUp makes managing groceries at home and grocery shopping easier.
We intend to use machine learning to give smart predictions on groceries to buy and your knowledge and experience in ML and full stack experience would help us build an effective solution to this problem.
Do checkout our github link for our bare bones flutter prototype.
As a team, we are very excited to potentially have you as our mentor. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us through telegram or email.
Thank you for considering our team and we hope that we can work with you in the future! :D
Why should the mentor pick your team?
Dear Paul,
We are a team of dedicated duo who is interested to build a new learning management system tailored to students at NUS School of Computing. In gist, we want to create a learning platform that supports student interaction via doing quizzes, QnA in a forum, and collating study resources. The catch is that we want to make the features integrate well with each other and close the learning feedback loop. We wish to take this opportunity to develop the product professionally, which means testing, coding, and also documentations are all parts of the plan. We hope to have you on board to provide us with both the front and back-end knowledge to help elevate our product to the next level!
